Imagine being able to take detailed, marked-up notes as you watch and learn each segment. No more sticky tabs on your monitor. No more hunting for a pen and paper to take notes. It's private, so feel free to be as silly as you want. (see example image below)

My Notebook Example

  1. Use a familiar tool bar (Word, Gmail, etc.) to make your notes personal and easy to read. There is even a print button for easy printing.
  2. Create links to sites that helped you address your specific problems.
  3. Make lists of the steps you took so that you never have to rely on your own memory ;-)
  4. See exactly when your notes were saved last so that you don't accidentally loose valuable information.
  • Overview
Adding RAM (Random Access Memory) to a computer can help it run faster and some programs will require more RAM than came with your computer. Josh explains how to get the right kind of RAM for your computer and then demonstrates how to install it. He also shows you where to look on the computer for how much RAM you currently have installed.
  • Static Electricity
Don't be too afraid of the dreaded static shock, just take precautions and be sure to touch the power supply before you remove the RAM or touch the inside of the computer.
  • Easily Done
It really is as easy as it looks, I have done this many times and never failed yet.
  • Finding The Slot
When you are looking for the slot to put the RAM in, look for another stick of RAM that looks just like the one you purchased, when you find it you are in the right spot. Some computers might have more than two slots, and others might only have two slots and both of them are filled. If this is the case in your computer, remove the smallest of the three sticks of RAM and install the largest two.
  • Gentle But Firm
Use gentle but firm pressure and push straight down in order to seat the RAM into place. Think of it like trying to push a popsicle stick into the crack between the door and door jam. It will go in with steady pressure but if you bend it to far one way or the other it might break.
  • The More The Merrier
Sony Vegas Movie Studio only requires that you have 256 K of RAM. Your computer probably has at least that much. Adding more RAM is still never a bad idea, the more you have the faster your computer will be able to do complex processes that may cause an overall jump in speed.
